Bonjour et bienvenue! My name is Zoé, and I am a native French speaker passionate about language teaching and cultural exchange.
Educational Background
I hold a Master’s degree in Translation from ESIT (école Supérieure d’Interprètes et de Traducteurs, Paris), one of the leading institutions for language studies in France. I also completed additional training in instructional design and eLearning development, which has strengthened my ability to design engaging and effective lessons tailored to learners’ needs.
Teaching and Tutoring Experience
I have several years of hands-on experience teaching both French and English:
•In France, I tutored children in English one-on-one, helping them build vocabulary and fluency through interactive activities.
•In the United States, I taught French in an elementary school classroom, where I designed my own lesson materials to introduce young learners (ages 6–10) to French language and culture.
•I have also worked as a freelance translator and proofreader, which refined my attention to grammar, style, and clarity—skills that support my teaching.
Teaching Approach
My method is learner-centered and interactive. I adapt lessons to each student’s age, goals, and learning style. With children, I use games, songs, and visual aids to make French fun and memorable. With older students and adults, I focus on practical conversation, grammar in context, and cultural insights. I believe in combining structure and creativity, so that learners not only improve their language skills but also gain confidence in using them.
Why Learn With Me
Learning a new language is about more than memorizing vocabulary—it’s about finding your voice in another culture. My goal is to create a supportive, engaging environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, practicing regularly, and celebrating progress. Whether you are a beginner, preparing for exams, or looking to improve conversational skills, I will design lessons that are clear, dynamic, and motivating.
