Hi! I have a BA in International Relations from Tufts University, graduating cum laude. Plus, a long time ago I scored a 1500 out of 1600 on the SAT and received many credit-worthy scores on the SAT II's.

I've been tutoring students around Los Angeles and online for over 10 years now. While I have helped students from as young as 7 to as old as college, I specialize in high school history and elementary and middle school math. I LOVE helping with AP Euro, but have helped many students get 4's and 5's in AP European, AP World, and AP US Histories. In addition, I have worked and continue to work with many elementary school students to understand basic math. Furthermore, especially with younger students, I try to make math more accessible, by either giving them fun word problems or playing War with cards to help them master their multiplication tables.

Furthermore, I have also worked with students for English and writing, as well as math through 10th grade. I am proud to have helped students raise their grades in all of these courses. For math, though, I tap out at trigonometry--I can still do the math myself but I find it hard to explain to a student. Through the years I have found that it is best to inform potential clients of my limitations--I'd rather say no to work than not be able to adequately assist a student.

I find working with students to be very gratifying, from helping them to master a subject to piquing their interest. (Although, the latter is not always possible!) When asked by my friends and potential clients, I tell them that I get two types of students: either ones looking for a particular expertise, such as AP US, or ones who simply cannot work with their parents. I am happy to work with both types.
