I’m a certified English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher with over a decade of classroom experience, including five years in Chicago and six in Los Angeles. Throughout my teaching career, I’ve worked with students in grades 5–12 and through adulthood, supporting learners from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds. I specialize in English Language Arts, ESL for Spanish and French speakers, accent reduction, creative writing, and essay writing through the college level. As a former SEL (Social Emotional Learning) Coordinator, I bring a compassionate, student-centered approach to every session, creating a safe space where learners feel confident taking risks and growing.
In addition to my classroom teaching, I’ve spent the past four years as a private English tutor, and also served as a coach for other English teachers. Most recently, I held the roles of Lead Teacher and Instructional Coach, where I helped design curriculum and guide other educators in best practices. Whether I’m supporting a student with grammar, guiding them to find their unique voice in writing, or helping reduce their accent for clearer communication, I aim to make learning joyful, personalized, and deeply empowering. I believe every student can thrive with the right support, and I’d be honored to help you or your child meet your goals.
