Hello! I am a former English, ESL, and French teacher turned writer, actor, producer, and creative consultant. After studying Secondary Education and finishing my practicum at the University of Nevada, I graduated with a degree in French and spent the next year in the classroom as an ESL teacher in Villeneuve-sur-Lot, France, working with students in full classrooms, small study groups, and one on one test prep. I have worked as a Substitute Teacher for the Washoe County School District and for the Los Angeles Unified School District for over 7 years in total, subbing both short and long-term assignments at the high school and elementary school levels, including working as the primary teacher for remedial first grade math and reading.
In addition to being an educator, I am an actor with credits in film, television, and theater, and a screenwriter and producer with development experience for major studios, international streaming platforms, independent production companies, and freelance artists. I have worked all stages of film and television production, from creative development to production to post-production to release and distribution.
I'm excited to work one on one with students to help them improve their understanding and confidence in their schoolwork. My pedagogy is based in a student-first approach.
