Hi, I'm Rodolfo but I go by Rudy for short. I am currently in the last year of my undergraduate degree at UCLA studying Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, and Physics. A lot of students believe that they are bad at math and science. However, I believe that everyone has the ability to learn even the hardest topics as long as they have the right foundation. When I am tutoring, I want to help teach the fun advanced topics, but I also want to help strengthen and fill in any gaps in my student's foundation if they need it. Most importantly, I think that students need to get a lot of practice with the techniques I teach them.
I have worked at the Caltech DaVinci camp for 3 summers, where I have been both a teacher and a teaching assistant. There, we taught students from grades 6-12 topics in math and science. At this summer camp, I have had experience preparing lectures, materials, and worksheets for a whole class. I also have experience teaching and assisting the students one-on-one while they did problems on whiteboards.
I am very flexible and open to any advice that my students or parents have for me. Feel free to contact me with any questions or if you would like to schedule a lesson.
