Hi, I’m Kailee — born and raised in LA, and a proud magna cum laude graduate from University of Southern California (USC) with a Bachelor’s degree in Cognitive Science and a minor in Forensics & Criminality. My background blends psychology, neuroscience, learning and memory, child development, and forensic psychology — and I bring that same interdisciplinary lens to my tutoring. I specialize in essay writing, creative writing, psychology, neuroscience, SAT Writing Prep, and more.

But beyond academics, here’s what I want you to know: I get it. I was the high-achieving, anxious perfectionist who cried over test scores, obsessed over college apps, and put enormous pressure on myself to be the best. I know how intense this process can feel — how school and ego and self-worth all blur together. That’s why I tutor from a place of empathy, honesty, and empowerment. I’m not just here to boost your scores — I’m here to help you feel capable, seen, and a little less alone!
Professionally, I’ve worked in tech startups and sales across multiple industries, which means I adapt fast, learn on the fly, and bring real-world relevance to everything I teach. If there’s a subject you need help with that’s not on my list, chances are I can pick it up, review it, and make it make sense to the best of my power — so feel free to ask!
I also volunteered throughout college with WYSE (Women and Youth Supporting Each Other), mentoring girls in underserved schools in downtown LA. We talked about self-esteem, health, safety, confidence — and most of all, I learned how much it matters to just show up for someone. That’s what I try to do here.
Whether we’re working on college essays, unpacking psych theories, or rewriting a paper for the third time, I’m here to help you build skills, reduce stress, and maybe even enjoy learning again.
Reach out anytime — I’d love to hear what you’re working on and how I can support you!
