Hello! My name is Clarinda. I'm originally from central New York. I received my bachelor's degree from Boston University where I studied philosophy (primarily the Greeks) and Mandarin Chinese. After college, I moved to rural China and later to Beijing, where I completed my first master's degree in Global Affairs at Tsinghua University as part of the prestigious Schwarzman Scholars Program. I am now finishing my MFA at the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts, where I'm studying directing for film and television, with an emphasis on comedy.
I have historically taught and tutored students (ages 3 through adult) in philosophy and Mandarin. However, I also have a special knack for helping high school seniors with college essays, and college students with fellowship/scholarship applications. As a storyteller myself, I love to help others craft their narratives.
I look forward to helping you pass your Chinese test, nail an essay or interview, and get into your dream school.
