Hi! I’m Katherine — a Northwestern University Engineering graduate, AP Scholar, and SAT 1530+ scorer (800/800 on the SAT Math II Subject Test) with over 5 years of tutoring experience helping students of all levels achieve measurable success.

I’ve taught over 50 students, ages 10 to 20, through both virtual sessions and classroom instruction. Many of my students have raised their SAT/ACT scores by 300+ points, passed challenging math courses, and been accepted into their dream colleges. I also work with high-achieving students who baseline near 1550 or have earned perfect PSAT scores, helping them develop competitive, customized study plans that balance strategy, challenge, and enjoyment. My previous experiences include teaching for Northwestern Univeristy’s official tutoring service providing one-on-one academic support, in person After-School Math and Test Prep group tutoring programs, and volunteer classroom experience.

I specialize in SAT/ACT prep and High School level Math, including Geometry, Algebra I & II, Pre-Calculus, and AP Calculus AB. My sessions provide structured, Ivy-prep–style tutoring that’s personalized and results-oriented. Each student receives:
•Custom study plans designed around their timeline and goals
•Weekly reviews of missed problems and challenging concepts
•Detailed notes on difficult subjects for continued reinforcement
•Weekly parent progress reports for full transparency
•Monthly or bi-monthly diagnostics to track measurable growth

I take pride in helping students enjoy the learning process through clear progress tracking and subject-specific growth milestones. Sessions are available mornings, evenings, and weekends to accommodate every schedule.

If you’re looking for an experienced, high-energy tutor who combines elite academic rigor with personalized guidance, I’d love to help you reach your goals and build confidence every step of the way!

Algebra 2

I have been an Algebra 2 Tutor for 3+ years and scored a 800/800 on the SAT II subject test (covering Algebra). I optimize lesson plans to a student’s learning style and have a 100% success rate improving students’ grades in the course.
Bible Studies

Bible Studies

I completed a 3-month intensive theology training program focused on biblical interpretation, church history, and core Christian doctrines. Over the past two years, I have led weekly Bible study sessions for small groups, helping participants understand scripture in its historical and theological context. I am skilled at making complex biblical ideas accessible, and I tailor each lesson to meet the needs and backgrounds of individual learners. My goal is to help students engage deeply with the Bible in a way that strengthens both their understanding and their faith.
GED

GED

I hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University and have extensive experience tutoring students in math, science, reading, and writing at the high school and adult-education levels. My lessons focus on building confidence and mastery in key GED areas such as quantitative reasoning, algebra, data analysis, grammar, and reading comprehension. I use official GED practice materials, track weekly progress, and tailor sessions to each student’s learning pace to ensure measurable improvement and test readiness.
GMAT

GMAT

I scored highly on the GMAT and tutor students across all sections of the exam, including Quantitative, Verbal, Integrated Reasoning, and the Executive Reasoning section. With a Mechanical Engineering degree from Northwestern University, I bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills that help students approach each question with strategy and clarity. My lessons focus on efficiency, time management, and confidence under pressure, using official GMAT materials, structured study plans, and personalized progress tracking to ensure consistent improvement and competitive results.
GRE

GRE

Qualifications 1. Northwestern University – Mechanical Engineering (B.S.), with a strong quantitative background in advanced math, data analysis, and applied problem-solving. 2. 99th-percentile standardized test performance, including 1530+ SAT and near-perfect Quantitative scores on practice GREs. 3. 4+ years of tutoring experience across Algebra II, Precalculus, Calculus, SAT/ACT, and GRE-level quantitative reasoning. 4. Expert at breaking down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps—especially for students who feel intimidated by math. 5. Specialized GRE strategy training, focusing on high-yield Quant shortcuts, data interpretation frameworks, and Verbal reasoning techniques proven to raise scores quickly.
Handwriting

Handwriting

I have years of experience working with elementary students to strengthen fine-motor and handwriting skills through fun, structured activities. ISEE

ISEE

I have extensive experience tutoring students for the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) at all levels, focusing on math, reading comprehension, and essay writing. I hold a degree in Engineering from Northwestern University, where I completed advanced coursework in calculus, statistics, and technical writing—skills that align with ISEE content and reasoning. My students consistently show noticeable score growth after completing customized lessons that target areas of growth, build test-taking confidence, and strengthen core academic skills using official ERB materials; I send out detailed bi-weekly progress reports to the parents to track these improvements.
Praxis

Praxis

I have extensive experience reviewing Praxis Core Math and Reading materials, including ETS-released exams, and understand the exact question formats and scoring methods used on the test. I hold a degree in Engineering from Northwestern University, where I completed advanced coursework in calculus, statistics, and applied mechanics. My professional experience as a mechanical engineer has strengthened my ability to teach problem-solving, quantitative reasoning, and data interpretation — all essential for Praxis success. I successfully help students prepare for the Praxis Core and Subject Assessments by creating detailed study plans using official ETS Praxis materials and diagnostic results to target students’ weakest content areas efficiently. My lessons combine conceptual understanding with proven test-taking strategies that consistently raise scores and confidence levels.
