Hi! My name is Mahnoor, and I’m currently a first-year medical student at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. I hold a double Bachelor of Science in Data Science and Bioengineering from UC Berkeley, where I had the opportunity to serve as a Biochemistry tutor and Summer Instructor + Head TA for multiple years for CS 61A, a rigorous Python programming course. In the past, I have also worked as an Organic Chemistry tutor and General Chemistry lab assistant at a local community college.
Throughout the years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with diverse students across a variety of science and math courses. I am all about helping discover and working around my students' learning preferences and styles, and tailoring my teaching to meet each student’s unique needs: using active learning techniques, visual aids, and interactive assessments to make complex concepts more digestible. I also enjoy curating post-session videos and quick guides for my students to reinforce learning. I’m a big believer in memory aids, and have lots of tips and tricks to share, and concept mapping—my goal is not only to help you understand the material, but also to encourage critical thinking and real-world application!
As someone who switched to the pre-med track halfway through college from a biotech background and went straight to medical school after graduating, I’m especially eager to support students navigating similar transitions. With the right mentors and guidance, this complex process becomes so much more manageable!
Whether you’re looking for tutoring or consulting services, I’d love to help you reach your goals. Wishing you all the best—feel free to reach out!
