About Nakkisa

Bio

I first began tutoring the SAT in 2006 and the LSAT in 2008 for a large test prep company. After attending law school from 2009-2012, I continued tutoring for small private tutoring services. I took a long hiatus from tutoring to practice law and have recently gotten back to tutoring. I have taken on a few students this summer preparing for the August exam and have availability for a few more.

I scored a 171 on the LSAT in 2008 and have a high score of 179 on real practice tests. I was trained in tried-and-true techniques and have a deep understanding of the structure and strategies to excel on standardized tests. I scored a 1420/1600 on the SAT in 2003. My background includes both classroom instruction for SAT courses of up to 30 students and LSAT courses of up to 12 students, small group tutoring of 2-5 students, and highly personalized one-on-one tutoring. My experience in test prep has shown me that individualized attention delivers the most dramatic score improvements, which is why I now focus primarily on private tutoring.

I provide one-on-one or small group tutoring, with personalized lesson plans, tailored to your needs. My lessons will consist of methodically going through real tests and test questions, identifying the question types, and providing you with easy to follow techniques to approach each facet of the test. I’ll customize study plans, teach you the basics, assist you with time management, give you practical tips to mentally prepare, and help you analyze your performance to identify opportunities to increase your score.

I have a BA from UC Berkeley in Political Science and a JD from UCLA Law. I am a licensed attorney and have been practicing law for 13 years. My primary focus is tutoring the LSAT and SAT but can also provide tutoring in the other approved subjects on my profile.
