After graduating from Rutgers university with a degree in Genetics and Microbiology I began my career as public school teacher in NJ. After teaching and tutoring there for over 15 years I moved to Los Angeles where I am now employed by one of the most successful high schools in southern California. I have been teaching and tutoring in LA for the past 7 years. Since moving I have also completed a Master's degree program in Science Education. While I hold certifications in multiple disciplines I consider all levels of high school chemistry to be my area of expertise. More specifically, I teaching experience and understand how to assist students in maximizing their scores on the college board exam. Last year the pass rate for my AP chemistry class was 93%.

The format of our lessons can be shaped so as to meet your specific needs whether that be preparing for the college board exam or simply improving your comprehension. Teaching chemistry at the high school level requires a measured approach that considers the mindset of a teenager as well as the demands they may be facing in terms of a packed schedule. My ability to connect and communicate with students through mutual respect and understanding is one of my strengths.
