Hi! My name is Ross, and I am a third-year undergraduate at UCLA on the pre-med track, majoring in Biology with a 4.0 GPA.
Throughout college, I’ve noticed that professors have their own unique teaching styles that don’t always align with the way students learn best. I initially found it challenging to adapt to different teaching methods, so I developed my own effective study techniques. I’m eager to share these strategies with students who may be struggling to keep up. I believe practice questions and exams are the best to solidify new concepts, while elaborative rehearsal is essential for efficient memorization.
These approaches have helped me achieve perfect scores in all my pre-med coursework, including the Organic Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Calculus series. Additionally, I was able to score a 515+ on the MCAT.
Beyond academics, I have 5+ years of teaching experience working with middle school students in both one-on-one and classroom settings. Many of these students were those who needed some extra assistance for their classes. However, a good portion of my students were those who were interested in getting ahead of their school curriculum.
My priority is to help students succeed by tailoring lessons to their needs. Feel free to reach out with any questions, feedback, or to schedule a session—I’m always happy to help and quick to respond. Thank you!
