Hi there! I’m Michelle – a Visual Designer with experience in Graphic Design, Motion Design, and Art Direction. I hold a BFA in Communication Arts for Graphic Design, from Otis College of Art and Design. During my four years there, I explored a range of disciplines, including printmaking, typography, painting, exhibition design, and video production, all of which shaped my creative approach.
As a teacher, my approach is hands-on and personal. I’m here to help you build the skills needed to strengthen your portfolio and discover your unique artistic voice. I believe in personalized, collaborative learning, where your individual goals are prioritized. My aim is to create a space where you feel supported to take risks, experiment, and freely share your ideas.
Experimentation and purposeful research are central to my teaching philosophy. I encourage you to explore new techniques, challenge yourself with different mediums, and dive deeper into your craft. This process will help you develop creatively, expand your thinking, and ultimately produce a strong, thoughtful portfolio.
Together, we’ll build your confidence and navigate your artistic journey with clarity and purpose. Classes will be one-on-one, online via Zoom with tailored schedules, specific targets, deadlines, and relevant lectures. I will accept a limited number of students to ensure focused, high-quality instruction. I am confident that my diverse skill set and industry insights will guide you in crafting an exceptional portfolio.
