I am a University of Chicago graduate, holding a Magna Cum Laude bachelor’s degree in economics. My education was highly quantitative in nature, but I have explored the humanities, social sciences, and physical sciences in depth; this enables a deeper exposition of concepts to students and an ability to provide greater clarity on the sometimes opaque connection between the subject matter and its real-world applications. I have over 6 years of experience tutoring high school and college students in a variety of subjects, including: macroeconomics, microeconomics, statistics, probability theory, differential calculus, integral calculus, multivariable calculus, financial accounting, etc. Prior to this, I was conferred the President’s Volunteer Service Award, which was in part recognition for teaching English and mathematics to struggling elementary and middle schoolers.

My manifold experience as a tutor has forced me to implement different pedagogical approaches that best adapt to each student’s learning needs. My efforts have been almost exclusively focused on one-on-one teaching, both because it is the generally preferred method and because I find it to be the most effective. I ultimately find great joy in highlighting the beauty of different academic disciplines to instill a kind of intrinsic motivation that makes learning far more accessible.

Track to successful learning

Mason is exceptionally knowledgeable when it comes to preparing for the Series exams. I had the opportunity to take classes with him for the Series 79, and his teaching style made a significant difference in my learning process. He doesn’t just cover the material he helps you understand the underlying logic behind the questions and teaches you how to approach each one analytically. Also a great learning coach who offers practical study strategies, effective test-taking techniques, and personalized guidance that truly improves comprehension and retention. His support and insights were instrumental in boosting my confidence and exam performance. I highly recommend him to anyone preparing for the Series exams.

Mason H- Incredible for Business Statistics

Mason has been super helpful with my business statistics class, I was truly lost before meeting with Mason and now he is consistently helping me get a better understanding of not only the concepts they are teaching in my class but also how these concepts can be applied to real world situations. Mason has helped me tremendously and my grades for the classes he has helped me with can reflect that.

Mason H-Outstanding Microeconomics Tutor

Mason has been an incredible help in my microeconomics class. Initially, I found the subject extremely difficult, especially with the textbook's outdated examples that made concepts harder to grasp. However, Mason made everything clearer by using relevant, real-world examples that I could personally relate to. Before working with Mason, I was seriously considering withdrawing from the class. But after meeting with him multiple times, my understanding improved dramatically. I now have a 95% in the class with just a few assignments left. Mason is truly dedicated to helping his students succeed. I would highly recommend him to anyone taking microeconomics.

Knowledgable and patient tutor

I had a great experience with Mason as my Economics: Money and Banking tutor. He was incredibly helpful and demonstrated a deep understanding of the material with the ability to provide a detailed explanation on every question I had. He was patient, diligently taking the time to explain concepts in multiple ways until I felt confident in my understanding. Mason made real-world connections, which made complex ideas much easier to comprehend and gave me a broader understanding of how it applies outside of the classroom. I highly recommend Mason to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, patient, and engaging tutor.
