I started playing violin when I was 5 and was in my first ensemble by age 12. I played violin and viola in various symphonies and string quartets, and began songwriting through arranging music. Although I loved classical music, I realized I wanted to work in more of the genres I loved so I started learning guitar and songwriting. I studied music business and production at USC (University of Southern California) in Los Angeles and was lucky enough to intern and learn from some incredibly talented and successful people. I worked as an assistant under a producer for several years who worked with several billboard charting artists during my time with him. The last few years I’ve been working full time as a producer/engineer/arranger in Los Angeles, working mainly with artists but also in sync and pitch.
I started giving lessons to a couple songwriters I work with this year for fun, and really loved it. It’s hard to imagine getting here without the amazing mentors I’ve had. I love music and it’s exciting to help other people find their voice and start creating. I want to keep teaching and hope to pass along my knowledge as others have done to me.
