I have been playing the flute for over 30 years, performing teaching professionally for over 20 years. I have three degrees in flute performance, including a Doctorate in Musical Arts from University of California San Diego and a master's equivalent from Conservatoire National de Region Strasbourg in France.

I teach students of all levels, aged high school through adult. I have extensive experience preparing students for regional band & orchestra auditions, as well as for college entrance auditions. I am currently on faculty at multiple colleges in Southern California. My students have won concerto competitions and have been accepted into their first choice colleges and universities. If you are working towards a specific musical goal, I will help you achieve it and break down the process into practical and attainable next steps. I specialize in audition and recital prep, building a solid technical foundation and navigating performance anxiety.

I love teaching the flute and helping others learn an instrument to be able to express their inner voice and musical creativity. Lessons will focus on building a well rounded, solid flute technique, while also making sure that each student is learning music that they love and personally connect with. I have extensive knowledge of classical repertoire as well as contemporary and extended flute techniques. I set clear expectations, while maintaining a nurturing, honest and supportive environment in all lessons.
