Hi there, I'm Sadekin! I graduated with distinction from UC Berkeley with a degree in mathematics and work as a software engineer on the weekdays. If it weren't for a few kind and passionate professors who went above and beyond to help me understand daunting math and computer science concepts, I would never have considered pursuing a STEM degree, let alone a degree in math. These instructors were patient, and empathetic, and made learning enjoyable, dispelling the myth that math is inherently difficult. And I've adopted the wonderful teaching philosophies of these great professors in my own approach to tutoring students over the years.

I've spent two years tutoring middle and high school students in Los Angeles on subjects ranging from algebra, precalculus, calculus, discrete math, linear algebra, and statistics to physics and computer science in both one-on-one and small-group settings. I've developed personalized lesson plans and strategies to address individual and group learning needs. I always strive to make lessons fun and memorable, checking for understanding with tailored practice problems during sessions. Above all, my role is to be a fun and enthusiastic guide in the beautifully structured world of mathematics. I encourage students to ask questions and guide them from first principles, helping them understand and justify problem-solving steps rather than memorizing formulas.

Learning math should be a fun and rewarding experience. However, some students may have had experiences where math seemed boring or too difficult.
