Hi, I'm Juniper! I recently graduated UCLA with a Ph.D. in Mathematics, and have a few other degrees in math as well. I've been teaching and tutoring for ten years now, and focus on making a welcoming environment where students feel comfortable to make mistakes and to be themselves.
I'm trans and have ADHD, so I especially care about making a safe space for fellow LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent folks in my tutoring.

A bit of history: I graduated Carnegie Mellon in 2017 with a 4.0 GPA and a BS and MS in Mathematics, and went on to UCLA where I earned another Master's and my Ph.D. in Mathematics.
I began tutoring in undergrad at Carnegie Mellon, working with small groups of college students mostly focused on linear algebra. I also began as a teaching assistant there, leading classes of around 30 students. I've done plenty of one-on-one tutoring since then, with folks from middle school to older people in the middle of career changes. It was at UCLA where I did a lot more tutoring and work as a teaching assistant. I've been a teaching assistant for linear algebra, calculus, multivariable calculus, pre-calculus, analysis, differential equations, and introduction to proofs, and tutored all sorts of math courses.
I've tutored folks with a wide range of strengths and weaknesses, and can adapt my lessons accordingly. I bring my classroom experience as well, having been a teaching assistant for many years now. I bring knowledge of testing and grading to my tutoring for those who are more focused on that.
