Hello! I’m Jamie, and I am looking for a few private voice students, specifically those looking for help building their vocal technique, learning music, or music theory tutoring. I am currently pursuing my degree in vocal performance from Oberlin Conservatory, one of the top music schools in the country. I have appeared in 4 LA Opera productions (Pagliacci, La Bohème, Tosca, and Carmen) in the children’s chorus. I’ve also appeared as a chorister in various concerts with the LA Philharmonic and as a soloist with the LA Master Chorale. At the collegiate level, I have performed one principal role with Oberlin Opera Theater (Sup. Budd in Albert Herring), and am currently preparing for another in the fall (Pandolfe in Cendrillon). This summer I will once again be performing in Carmen, this time at Music Academy of the West, the prestigious summer festival in Santa Barbara.
I have plenty of knowledge about singing and music under my belt that I hope to share with my students. For anyone looking to build their vocal technique, repertoire, or artistic interpretation of music, I will be a great teacher to guide you through these challenges. I am also happy to provide any music theory help you may need, as I have taken AP Music Theory as well as 2 full years of theory at the college level.
