I'm a professional music producer, songwriter, pianist, and guitarist with over 15 years of experience working in the music industry and teaching private students. A graduate of New York University's Music Technology program, I balance my time between creating music for clients and coaching others to learn the craft of music making. During my studies, I achieved a perfect score on the highest level of the New York State School Music Assessment (NYSSMA) piano evaluation, and was nominated to join the highly selective advanced ear-training program at NYU, where I graduated with honors.

After graduating, I worked as a music educator with students ranging from 5 years old to adults. I helped found the music program at New York University's campus in Shanghai, where I kickstarted a series of choral groups and instrumental ensembles, and taught private lessons to guitar and piano learners. In addition to my teaching, I've written and produced music for a variety of artists and clients. One of the most interesting pieces I've created is the NYU Shanghai Alma Mater, a celebratory song that is performed at the university's graduation ceremony every year.

After relocating to Los Angeles, I began focusing much of my attention on growing my music production and songwriting business. I also continue to teach as I enjoy helping others grow in the craft of music making. When I work with new students, we usually start with a conversation in which we discuss your goals and set a plan for how to get you to where you want to be. I accept all skill levels from beginners to professionals, and I work with all ages, including kids. My teaching methodology involves a blend of technical skills, theory, and ear training. For young children (8 years old or younger) who wish to learn an instrument, I often recommend starting with the Suzuki method, which places greater emphasis on playing by ear at the early stages.

Ear Training

Ear Training

I am a graduate of New York University's music program. During my time studying there, I was recommended by my professor to join the selective honors ear training program. I was one of the few students in the honors ear training program who did not have perfect pitch. I believe music is meant to be heard (and felt!) so ear training means a lot to me. I've always enjoyed helping students understand what they're hearing, and use that knowledge to create music that is enjoyable and compelling.
Guitar

Guitar

I am a graduate of NYU's music program and I've been playing guitar for over 20 years. I've taught students of a variety of different ages, including young kids. I currently work as a professional music producer, songwriter, teacher, and session musician. I enjoy helping others level up their playing and musicianship skills.
Music Production

Music Production

I am a graduate of NYU's music program and I've been producing music professionally for over 15 years. I've worked extensively in both Logic and Pro Tools and created music in a variety of genres, from pop to indie rock, RnB, singer-songwriter, and more.
Piano

Piano

I am a graduate of NYU's music program and I've been playing piano for over 25 years. I've taught students of a variety of different ages, including kids. When working with young piano learners, I often recommend starting with the Suzuki method. I currently work as a professional music producer, songwriter, teacher, and session musician. I enjoy helping others level up their playing and musicianship skills.
