I also hold an Associates of Arts degree in Applied Music (highest honors) and degrees in Songwriting and Music Production. I was born and raised in Germany where I was a professor for Guitar and Band of the State School of Music in Hamburg. 2003 I relocated to Los Angeles and have been teaching here ever since. I was a guitar instructor for Westwood Music Academy until they closed down in 2020. Some of my students have gone on to pursue college education in Music. I enjoy teaching all age ranges and am trying to foster rapid growth for my students. I teach all kinds of styles except classical guitar although I also offer essential finger style techniques. Very often I will analyze contemporary music for my students and then teach them how to play it. Also, I’ll make sure that my students learn the necessary music theory that is necessary to master the instrument.
