Hi there, I’m Jose! I am a graduate of Cal State Northridge with a Bachelor of Science in Cell & Molecular Biology. I scored 93rd+ percentile on SAT, ACT, SAT subject exams, and MCAT.
I have tutoring experience of 10+ years with goals in teaching critical thinking, analysis, public speaking, and test taking strategies. I have been a tutor since high school, through college, and now in my spare time. I continue to tutor high school and college students in math up to Calculus II/BC, high level biology, chemistry, and physics, as well as a number of other AP courses.
As I am applying for medical school, I have focused my attention on providing others support for the MCAT - which is a daunting step in the application process for everyone. I am also an experienced essay reviewer and interview expert, which forms other important parts of the medical school application process.
I scored 93rd percentile overall on the MCAT and had great success in CARS (130), Bio/Biochem (130), and Chem/Physics (129). I started helping friends with their studying for the exam and they happily had notable score increases. I stress the importance of high level practice, reasoning, confidence, and test taking strategies to maximize one's score. I believe everyone has the potential to score 515+ on the exam with the correct preparation.
