Hello! My name is Jared and I am a recent graduate of the University of Southern California with a B.S. in Biochemistry with honors and am now a medical student at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. I have 4 years of combined experience as an SAT tutor, chemistry tutor, and supplemental instruction leader for an honors general chemistry class. All of my students have earned an A or a B, and one of my high school students qualified for the National American Chemical Society Chemistry Olympiad and earned the National Merit Scholar Award. I am looking to tutor students at any level, including middle school, high school, and college in subjects such as chemistry, biochemistry, or the SAT.
As for qualifications, I was a 99th percentile scorer on the SAT and a National Merit Scholar who used to compete in state math competitions. I also scored in the 99th percentile on the MCAT and passed on many of my study strategies to many of my friends who have also gone on to medical school. I also have years of experience tutoring students for the PSAT and SAT.
I love building a connection with my students and providing mentorship beyond academics. Whether it's about college or medical school admissions advising, or simply how to successfully navigate a balanced student life, I am always happy to provide advice and guidance specific to any situation. I am also comfortable providing tutoring beyond the subjects listed above. As a tutor, I prioritize helping students learn how to learn effectively in a way that will help them succeed in any subject. I'm committed to helping my students achieve success in any of their academic endeavors. I promise fast responses to messages and an open line of communication outside of lessons whenever questions arise.
