Hi, I'm Neil!

I am a Stanford University Computer Science graduate (specializing in AI) and recently worked as an AI & Threat Researcher at Aurascape. I bring a blend of elite academic theory and hands-on industry experience directly to our sessions.

Having served as a Teaching Assistant at Stanford for core courses like CS 106A and ENGR 40M, I’ve spent years helping students master everything from basic programming abstractions to complex electrical engineering labs. I'm also deeply passionate about education; I prioritize foundational logic and constructive feedback to ensure you leave every session feeling confident.

Core Subjects & Technologies:
• Computer Science: AP, College-Level, and foundational concepts
• Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
• Advanced Cryptography: Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) and Zero-Knowledge Proofs (ZKPs)
• Programming Languages: Python, JavaScript, and Golang
• Web, Mobile & Cloud: React, React Native, and AWS
• Electrical Engineering: Circuit fundamentals and hardware labs

Notes:
• My availability fluctuates, so please confirm open times! If you have an urgent need within 24 hours, let me know—I will always do my best to accommodate you.
• To give you the most value for your time, please send over any course materials (syllabus, textbook, lecture notes, or assignments) prior to our session so I can review them.
• For my regular students, I am happy to answer quick questions between lessons free of charge as my schedule permits.
• Because I block out time and prepare materials specifically for you, I require 36 hours' notice for cancellations. Late cancellations or shortened sessions (arriving late/leaving early) will still be billed for the originally scheduled time.

Shoot me a message with any questions, your current goals, or to schedule a lesson. Looking forward to working together!

Approved Subjects

AWS

AWS

I am a software engineer and Stanford graduate with practical experience deploying and managing cloud infrastructure. My background includes building full-stack applications and optimizing backend systems using AWS services like EC2, S3, and Lambda. I focus on teaching core cloud concepts, security best practices, and architecture to help students prepare for certifications or real-world projects.
Computer Science

Computer Science

At Stanford, I've successfully completed courses covering C, C++, OOP, x86, multithreading, client-server model, theoretical CS, probability theory, time-complexity, and data structures (CS 103, 106X, 107, 109, 110, & 161; see explorecourses.stanford.edu). I coded a videogame for a study in computational neuroscience for which I was the lead author at MIT's Dept. of Brain & Cognitive Sciences, and I've worked as a software developer intern at 2 startups. Two teammates and I won 2nd place at Intel's 2015 IoT Security Hackathon for wiring & programming a smart bike light that prevents theft. I programmed an iOS game called "Zig Zag Zoe" with an AI (no longer on the app store; see github.com/radixtwo).
Cybersecurity

Cybersecurity

I previously worked as an AI & Threat Researcher at Aurascape, where I focused on identifying and mitigating digital threats. My professional experience combines cybersecurity domain knowledge with advanced AI techniques. I help students understand modern threat landscapes and the principles of secure software development.
Data Science

Data Science

I hold a strong background in Data Science and Machine Learning, having developed various predictive models and data-driven solutions in both academic and professional settings. My expertise includes proficiency in Python, SQL, and various data visualization tools to help students grasp complex statistical concepts. I focus on making data science accessible by breaking down complicated algorithms into manageable, real-world applications.
Data Structures

Data Structures

As a software engineer and founder, I have designed and implemented complex systems requiring efficient data structures. I have a strong academic background in CS from Stanford and Foothill College, where I excelled in core algorithmic courses. I specialize in teaching students how to select and implement the right structures for performance optimization.
Electrical Engineering

Electrical Engineering

As a software engineer and founder, I have a comprehensive understanding of the full technology stack, including the intersection of software and hardware ecosystems. My academic work at Stanford and Foothill College included core coursework relevant to circuit analysis and digital systems. I help students grasp the principles of electrical engineering through the lens of modern software development and system design.
Machine Learning/ AI

Machine Learning/ AI

I am an AI Researcher and software engineer with extensive experience in developing automated trading tools and mobile applications. Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science at Stanford, I have a deep understanding of machine learning algorithms, neural networks, and AI ethics. I focus on helping students understand both the mathematical foundations and practical implementations of AI.
Python

Python

I've taken a course at Stanford devoted to teaching the Python language. Most of my artificial intelligence courses only taught in Python. I also taught a Python course at Stanford (CS 106A: Programming Abstractions). Python is my go-to language whenever I want to quickly program tools and utilities for personal use. It is amazing how quickly you can do data science and statistics with Python!
React

React

I am an experienced software engineer and the founder of a successful technology startup. Currently pursuing my studies in Computer Science at Stanford University, I have a deep understanding of core programming principles and modern React development practices. My unique blend of academic excellence and real-world leadership experience allows me to explain complex frontend concepts in a clear and practical manner for students. I have built numerous production-scale applications using React and its ecosystem.
Swift

Swift

I am an experienced software engineer and the founder of a technology startup, which has given me practical experience in building and shipping Swift-based applications. Currently, I am a Computer Science student at Stanford University, where I have mastered advanced programming concepts and software architecture. My background allows me to bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world implementation when tutoring students in Swift and iOS development. I am passionate about teaching and can help students navigate both the basics and complex features of the Swift language.
