I scored a 36 on the ACT, a 1500 out of 1520 on the PSAT, and earned 4s and 5s on AP exams including Chemistry, Biology, Calculus BC, Physics 1, Physics C, Computer Science, Literature, Language, Spanish, and US History.
I especially enjoy tutoring math and test prep. I worked as a tutor at a math company for three years, where I helped students strengthen their problem-solving skills and feel more confident with difficult material. I also have experience tutoring for the SAT, including helping one student improve by 300 points after just a couple weeks of tutoring.
My teaching style depends on the student. I usually start by figuring out what topics feel confusing or what types of questions are causing mistakes. From there, I break things down step by step and help students build a stronger foundation. For standardized tests, I focus on both content and strategy, including timing, question patterns, and avoiding common mistakes.
