Hi, I’m Zoe! I’m an educational therapist and special educator with 10 years of experience supporting neurodiverse students and students with diverse learning needs. I work with students from kindergarten through middle school, with a particular focus on reading and writing development.
I graduated cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development and earned my Master’s Degree in Early Childhood/ Special Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. I taught special education kindergarten in a New York City public school for four years before transitioning to educational therapy.
I have completed training in the Orton-Gillingham approach and incorporate its structured, multisensory methods into my literacy instruction. My experience includes supporting students with dyslexia, ADHD, and reading and writing difficulties, as well as students who need additional support building foundational literacy skills.
I believe strong relationships are at the heart of effective learning. I take the time to get to know each student - their interests, strengths, and learning style and use that understanding to create engaging, individualized instruction. My goal is to help students not only strengthen their academic skills, but also become more confident and capable learners.
