I am a multi-instrumentalist who is willing to admit that I give out all the shortcuts and easy techniques in all of the initial sessions with my students. One of the main things that I have learned along my journey in music, is that Music doesn't have to be complex & drawn out. The fact that I meet the student right where they are, allows me to stand out. I would teach all the shortcuts for each specific desire the student has. For instance if you want to end up performing in coffeeshops as opposed to going on to become a professional Jazzer or Virtuoso. These would require totally different teaching patterns, etc.

Clarinet is my original instrument. I played clarinet back in the 5th grade, after being being musically screened by the Band Director on campus. It took me 2 weeks before being moved into Intermediate Band where I remained for approximately 1 month before being moved into Advanced Band. I excelled in the Advanced Band & began receiving awards after only 3 months of attendance. Since then it's been a successful musical career.....

I have approximately 30+ years of Composition experience along with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance from California State Polytechnic University, 1992.

I have played, performed and taught Full Drum Set for a duration of 37yrs. I have travelled the world, groomed other students & musicians, as well as started beginners on their musical paths. I have more than enough ability and creativity to coach any musician! All I ask is that you are open to receiving the instruction provided.

I started out some 40 years ago using just my ear as my guide. I excelled in the creation of music, song writing, arranging and production, then later on I got involved completely with reading, composing, transposing, transcribing, and sight reading, etc. I completely my structured musical learning at Cal Poly University of Pomona in 1992!

I pride myself on being an impeccable performer of Woodwind instruments. I have played and taught them consistently for approximately 35 years now. That's no small undertaking.....however I do have quite a few students with a proven track record of performance, skill and knowledge at this point! My reputation proceeds me in that regard!

I have an amazing method of piano instruction that is guaranteed NOT to bore the student with those seemingly tedious antics, etc. I believe in giving the student exactly what they need at any given moment. I believe in taking a very loose approach & it has proven to be quite successful, as a few of my students have played for world renowned celebrity artists, etc!

I selected the Alto Saxophone as my Major/Main Instrument back in college, due to my love for jazz music. Midway through college I started my career of teaching. I even had the distinct pleasure of touring and performing with the C.P.U. Sax Quartet while using my feet to play the bass drum and hi hat! I have since gone on to a professional music career around playing the saxophone(s). My current performing group is called 'Saxual Deviants'!

In my musical lifetime, I have played almost every single brass instrument that they make. I enjoy the practice of utilizing embouchure & enhancing my range/chops! I performed marching trombone/Mellophone for several years, but spent the duration of my high school years as 1st Chair Trumpet. I even had a few County Honor Band appointments along with the Tournament of Roses Parade Baritone Horn player and Herald Trumpet spots in my day!

I spent my high school years as 1st Chair and even went on to becoming the 1st African-American Female Herald Trumpet Player for the Tournament of Roses Parade [100th year]. For those that don't know, it takes quite a proficient player with impeccable skills to be selected for the 8-9 Person Herald Trumpet Section that proceeds the Parade Queen!

If ever you wanted to become a Vocal Star....then I am the trainer for you. My commitment to you will be to shape you into the BEST SINGER POSSIBLE....! All it takes is for you to dedicate yourself to the process & give it your ALL. I can promise you success IF only you do your part...I will definitely do my part! I have successfully trained, coached & directed quite a few vocal students that have gone on to further their vocal careers. I am sincerely proud of the extensive work and accomplishments that I have attained vocally. Although I don't sing as much now as I used to, I am still quite able to broaden the horizons of any willing student!
