Hi, my name is Ruchi. I obtained my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in applied mathematics from UCLA and Brown University, respectively. I have teaching experience with students ranging from elementary school through community college and university levels. I'm currently a math teacher at a high school in the area.
I enjoy working with students and helping them reach their “aha!” moment in which they understand concepts that were once difficult for them. As a teacher and tutor, I make sure to go step-by-step in explaining material in a clear and comprehensible way. I have always spent extra time with those students who have needed it. In addition, my experience working in hospitals (particularly in the psychiatric division) has taught me how to work with people from all walks of life and how to remain patient and calm in stressful situations. I believe all of these qualities make me an effective tutor.
I am diligent, conscientious, and caring, and I learn from my students just as much as they learn from me.
