I'd love to make sure you succeed in your STEM classes! I have my PhD in Chemistry from University of California, Irvine and I graduated with high honors from Mills College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry.

I have over three years of instructor experience at University of California, Irvine (Chemistry 1B and 1C), Mount Saint Mary's University (Scientific Concepts) and Santiago Canyon College (General Chemistry A). I am currently a teacher in AP Chemistry for an elite independent school in southern California.

My goal as a tutor is to make sure you understand the material, which will help you succeed academically! I utilize visual aids and kinesthetic aids, when need be, to ensure proper understanding of the concepts are achieved! I understand that chemistry can be a very abstract concept which may not always be the easiest to grasp. I make sure to approach any problem with a student thoroughly, while allowing them to guide through the problem. I work with the student to ensure they develop the tools necessary to approach any math problem head on.

Due to my thorough understanding of fundamental and advanced chemistry topics, I am able to talk with the student about these chemistry concepts, through different aids, videos, pictures, etc., to ensure accurate and thorough understanding is achieved. If the student does not understand, rather than get impatient, I try explaining concepts a different way that will suit any learning style.
