I genuinely enjoy helping students improve their skills in critical reading and writing. I have been teaching for over twenty years, and I can work with all kinds of students, from middle school to high school and from undergraduate to graduate school. I have a strength for identifying the changes students can make to maximize their improvement. I can show you how to be a successful student at any level.

My experience includes seven years teaching at the university level and fifteen years teaching at the high school level. I have taught in all areas of the Humanities, with a particular focus on Philosophy and Literature. I can offer assistance to students from middle school through to graduate school. I can help students improve their grasp of material in the various subjects in the Humanities, and I can help students improve their academic and research writing. I can help students with all forms of standardized test preparation, including SAT, ACT, HSPT, GRE, LSAT and TOEFL. I can edit and proofread papers ranging from short research papers to dissertations.

In addition, I have helped over 1000 students over the last 10 years with their college application essays.
