I am an experienced math tutor with over twenty years of tutoring experience and a strong academic and professional background in engineering. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of South Florida and a Master’s degree in Engineering Management. After beginning my career in engineering and construction roles, I transitioned into real estate development, where I continue to apply advanced math, analytical thinking, and problem-solving on a daily basis. Alongside my professional career, I have tutored consistently since high school, primarily working with middle school and high school students. My tutoring experience includes one-on-one instruction as well as group tutoring and formal test preparation through structured programs. I have worked with students on pre-algebra, algebra I and II, trigonometry, pre-calculus, calculus I and II, and engineering-based math concepts. Over the years, I have helped students improve grades, gain confidence with homework and exams, and strengthen foundational skills needed for long-term success. I have also supported test preparation, including helping a middle school student raise her SAT score enough to qualify for an advanced academic program. I have experience tutoring both in person and online and currently offer remote tutoring exclusively. My teaching approach focuses on helping students understand how to think through problems, not just follow memorized steps. Many students struggle because they are told what to do without learning how to problem-solve or connect concepts. I use step-by-step instruction combined with real-world applications to help students close that gap. When a student feels frustrated, we step back and reinforce earlier concepts before building forward. Students often appreciate my low-pressure, supportive style and my ability to help them see math in a way that works with how they think.
