I earned a Master’s from Stanford University and a Bachelor’s from UC Berkeley. My academic background provides a strong and well-balanced preparation in theory and practice for quantitative and programming skills, along with analytical abilities. With this preparation, I can assist students in navigating the coursework and gaining insight into the relationship between statistics, programming, and real-life problems.
For six years, I have been tutoring Long Beach graduate students in advanced statistics, data science, and computer science. I am a flexible tutor. I adapt individual instruction, either providing in-depth instruction in difficult derivations, coding practice in challenges, or discussion on theory and empirical. I prioritize straightforwardness, and I also support students in developing a habit of independent and critical thinking.
My tutoring experience is mostly derived from one-on-one instruction, and this allows me to understand individual students’ difficulties, and I can assist students from various academic levels. I have helped students with the gaps in math skills, both strong or weak programming skills, and provided help in overcoming difficulties in the graduate. My primary goal has always been to make the complicated topics more understandable.
