I am a Doctor of Education with over 10 years of experience helping students strengthen reading, writing, study skills, and test preparation. I work with learners from upper elementary through adult education, including students preparing for exams such as the ASVAB and GED. My tutoring focuses on rebuilding foundational skills, improving comprehension and communication, and helping students develop strategies needed to succeed academically and on high-stakes exams.
My approach is structured, supportive, and results-oriented. Lessons are individualized and paced for lasting progress, with clear systems that help students stay organized, strengthen confidence, and take ownership of their learning. Many families seek my support when students feel stuck or overwhelmed and need a structured plan to move forward.
I have advanced training in structured literacy, including Orton-Gillingham and LETRS through LAUSD, and experience supporting students with dyslexia, ADHD, and diverse learning needs. As part of a military family, I also understand the demands placed on students balancing school, work, and life transitions. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students build independence, confidence, and lasting academic skills.
