My passion for acting, directing, and teaching was sparked by the incredible teachers I studied with in NYC and college—mentors who believed in me even when I didn't. Shortly after college, while performing in a live stunt show, I was lucky enough to book Les Miserables in NYC. That experience opened the door for me to study with legendary acting teachers like Uta Hagen, Austin Pendleton, and Wynn Handman. Their insights shaped my approach to acting, teaching me to embrace multiple methodologies as tools rather than rigid rules—always in service of bringing truth to character, scene, and story.
The entertainment landscape has changed dramatically, and by creating their own work, actors can take charge of their careers and build sustainable opportunities. To that end, I’m dedicated to encouraging actors, and aspiring creatives, to become creators of their own content—projects they can act in, direct, or produce. I practice what I preach and am preparing to direct the debut of a new play and am at work on a limited series and several feature film scripts.
My professional experience spans over two decades of acting and directing in theater, television, and film. Before moving to California in 2016, I was a New York-based actor and director, performing on Broadway, in National Tours, Off-Broadway, and regional theaters across the country, as well as directing in feature films and network television. As a director, I have had the opportunity to collaborate with some of the finest, most dedicated actors in the industry—talents like Ed Harris, Giancarlo Esposito, Oliver Platt, S. Epatha Merkerson, Amy Madigan, among others. My goal is always to share the joy, discovery, and dedication that this craft demands, and to empower the next generation of storytellers.
