I am a Psychology (B.A.) graduate, Summa Cum Laude, with a 4.0 GPA. My academic success highlights my deep understanding of the subjects I teach and my ability to excel with ADHD, offering a unique perspective for those with similar challenges. My experience mentoring and guiding students began in middle school with "Reading Buddies," where I helped kindergarten and first-grade students with reading, sparking my passion for supporting young learners and shaping my educational approach.

Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have mentored youth with behavioral and academic challenges, working both one-on-one and in small groups with students aged 5 to 18. At a Residential Facility for 8 months, though not formally a tutor, I assisted with English, writing, math, and science as part of my daily duties, developing personalized strategies for each student's needs. Additionally, I supported my college professor in Hebrew, a language I’ve been proficient in since middle school.

I specialize in psychology, English, writing, reading, and statistics, but I can also tutor any elementary and middle school subject and most high school subjects. I excel in AP Psychology, having achieved a perfect 5 on the exam. My teaching style uses a Socratic approach, asking guiding questions to encourage critical thinking and independent problem-solving. This method enhances understanding and builds confidence. My goal is to create an engaging environment where students are comfortable exploring ideas and learning from mistakes.

In addition to subject-specific tutoring, I am a skilled essay proofreader who enjoys helping students refine their writing and develop critical thinking skills. I aim to provide a supportive environment where students feel understood and empowered. Whether breaking down complex topics, guiding homework, or enhancing study skills, I am dedicated to helping learners of all backgrounds achieve their academic goals and personal growth.

Approved Subjects

ADHD

ADHD

As a Psychology graduate with a Summa Cum Laude distinction and a 4.0 GPA, I have firsthand experience navigating the challenges of ADHD. Diagnosed with ADHD myself, I have developed effective strategies for managing focus, time management, and organization, which helped me excel academically. In my professional work, I have mentored children with ADHD, providing tailored support to help them overcome their unique challenges. My background in psychology and hands-on mentoring experience allow me to offer personalized guidance, empowering students to thrive despite ADHD.
Executive Functioning

Executive Functioning

My qualifications for tutoring executive functioning are rooted in both professional practice as a high school SPED paraprofessional and a proven personal track record of maintaining a 4.0 GPA with ADHD. Having successfully navigated my own neurodivergence to achieve academic excellence, I am adept at teaching students how to develop intuitive workarounds for common barriers to task initiation and focus. I focus on empowering learners to understand their own neurobiology and implement customized workflows that prioritize functional results over rigid, traditional organization. This dual perspective allows me to provide empathetic and highly effective guidance that helps students with barriers to executive functioning translate their unique strengths into consistent academic performance.
Hebrew

Hebrew

I am a proficient Hebrew speaker with a solid foundation in the language, including the Hebrew alphabet and basic Hebrew. My experience spans from elementary school through undergraduate studies, where I also informally tutored fellow students. I have practical conversational experience from traveling to Israel twice and completing my Bat Mitzvah, which deepened my cultural understanding as well as my understanding of the language itself. I offer lessons that focus on the alphabet, basic language skills and sentence structure, and conversational practice to help students build a strong foundation in Hebrew.
Special Needs

Special Needs

In my role as a high school Special Education Paraprofessional for the moderate-to-severe population, I have extensive experience supporting students with diverse needs including, but not limited to, autism, ADHD, Intellectual Disabilities, Down syndrome, and visual or hearing impairments. I am proficient in utilizing AAC devices and adaptive communication strategies to ensure every student can fully access their learning environment. This professional expertise is paired with a personal mastery of neurodivergent success, as I maintained a 4.0 GPA through college while navigating my own ADHD. I am dedicated to providing high-level, neuro-affirming support that prioritizes functional independence and academic growth for students with complex learning profiles.
