I am undergraduate student studying physics. I am in the process of transferring and obtaining a B.S, and have enough credits for a Mathematics and Science Associate of Arts degree. I will be getting it this May.
I am also a tutor at Las Positas Community College for Algebra, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus 1, English, and Intro Biology. It is my second year tutoring there. In the past, I have volunteered for YMCA and Deer Hollow Farm outdoor summer camps, and worked with children ages 8-16.
My approach to tutoring is your approach. If you would like a more structured and review-based session, I will do just that. If you would like a looser session where you work on homework problems as usual, just with a buddy on your shoulder, that's what I will do. I believe in balance and adaptability. You know yourself best-- I am there only as an educated observer that brings problems to your attention. Ultimately, it is only you who holds the power to change them. I will challenge and question you, and you can do the same to me. We are a team.
