I hold an Associate of Arts degree in English, a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies, and I am currently completing a Master’s program in Art with a focus on secondary education. My academic background allows me to tutor both English and Art with confidence, combining strong literacy skills with visual and creative learning strategies. My formal training emphasizes lesson design, differentiation, and aligning instruction to student needs, which supports learners across grade levels and learning styles.

I have experience teaching and supporting students in grades K–12 through classroom instruction, small-group learning, and one-on-one academic support. As an art educator, I have taught visual art, digital media, and project-based units that encourage critical thinking, creativity, and self-expression. In English support, I focus on reading comprehension, essay writing, grammar, organization, and building student confidence in written and verbal communication. I have worked with diverse learners, including students with IEPs and emerging bilingual students, and I adapt instruction to meet individual academic and social-emotional needs.

My tutoring approach is structured, supportive, and student-centered. I prioritize building rapport, breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps, and helping students understand not just what to do, but why it matters. Whether supporting a student with an art project, an essay, or foundational skills, my goal is to help learners develop confidence, clarity, and independence.
