Cerritos College, Norwalk, Ca (general studies)
CAL STATE LONG BEACH UNIVERSITY (0)
I graduated with an AA Degree from Cerritos College and then with a Bachelor of ARts from Cal State Long Beach.
I was a teacher's aide all through college and also an assistant teacher for GED. The year I assisted in GED we had the greatest number of graduates than in any previous year. I have been a substite teacher in the Long Beach Community School district. I hold an emergency credential and was a substitute teacher.
I have been a manager of a drugstore and then got my California Contractor's License in 1995. I have run my own business for 17 years now. I have travelled much of the world and most of the United States and feel I have a broad frame of reference that will be useful to students of every sort.
I wish to resume working with students as it is much more personally rewarding to help others on with their goals and wish to stop my busines and go back to working with students.
I am married with two children, enjoy gardening, travelling and old cars. At the moment I am working on a 1962 Studebaker Gran Turismo. Any questions, just call and ask. I look forward to working with students again. I am easy to get along with, low-key, and have a way of making people understand things. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
