Tutoring has almost always been a constant part of my life. I entered the public school system in 7th grade after previously being homeschooled, and in 8th grade I had already become a part of the Peer Tutor team at my middle school. During high school I focused mostly on sports, but in college my love for tutoring was re-ignited after volunteering as a tutor at a local middle school. Throughout college I wasn't part of a formal tutoring program but was always willing and available to help classmates with math.
After graduating from Santa Clara University with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics in 2006, I entered the workforce, working at a local staffing firm until 2020, at which point I was laid off during COVID. In this time frame, I tutored fellow church attendees to assist with financial exams and GED credentials, and also served as the family editor for siblings and in-laws who needed help polishing college level papers.
Currently I am homeschooling my own children who range from grades preschool through 11th grade, and am very comfortable working with children. I excel in tutoring math through Algebra, but also can help with writing and reading if needed.
