I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of the Pacific pursuing a degree in Public Health and Wellness (BS). Through my coursework, I have developed a strong foundation in biology science concepts, including college-level biology and basic science concepts. I also have experience with foundational math and English skills, including vocabulary, reading, and elementary to middle school math. I enjoy helping students understand topics in a simple and clear way, especially when they need extra support.
I have previous experience working with students as a classroom TA in 7th and 8th grade, where I helped students with assignments and explained concepts in a one-on-one setting. I supported students with a variety of subjects, including math, science, and basic English skills. This experience helped me develop patience, communication skills, and the ability to break down difficult topics into smaller, and easier steps. I am especially comfortable working with elementary and middle school students.
My tutoring approach focuses on making students feel comfortable asking questions and building their confidence. I aim to explain concepts step-by-step and adjust my teaching style based on each student's needs. Whether it is helping with homework, reviewing material, or practicing skills. My goal is to make learning less stressful and more understandable for students.
