I am a dedicated and passionate educator and environmental scientist with over two decades of diverse professional experience spanning ecological research, habitat restoration, and science education. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies with a concentration in Natural Resource Management and Conservation from San Francisco State University, where I graduated Cum Laude, as well as both a California Single Subject Credential in Science and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. My career has taken me from conducting coastal habitat restoration research at the Romberg Tiburon Center for Environmental Studies and interning with the National Park Service at Golden Gate National Recreation Area, to teaching Biology, Physics, and General Science across multiple grade levels within the San Francisco Unified School District. I am fluent in English, Bulgarian, and Russian, and bring a deep commitment to meeting students where they are, fostering interdisciplinary learning, and inspiring the next generation of scientists - particularly among students from diverse and underserved communities.
