Hello! My name is Noah, and I am a dedicated STEM tutor with a passion for making complex subjects approachable. I am currently pursuing my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC). Prior to transferring, I built a rigorous foundation in the sciences, earning three separate Associate’s degrees in Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science. My academic background has given me a solid understanding of the core principles in these fields, and I am eager to share that knowledge to help other students succeed in their own coursework.
My approach to tutoring is built on patience and adaptability. I gained significant experience assisting my younger brother through his middle and high school mathematics curriculum. Because he navigates ADHD, I learned early on that traditional teaching methods don't work for everyone. I developed strategies to break problems down into manageable steps and keep sessions engaging to suit different learning styles. Additionally, my time as a black belt martial arts instructor and President of the AVC Honors Society has honed my ability to lead and mentor. Whether I was guiding a new student through a physical technique or organizing honors events, I learned that encouragement and clear communication are key to helping students reach their goals. I look forward to bringing that same energy to our tutoring sessions!
