We began using other strategies like flashcards, practice exams, writing out the definitions for key vocabulary, and other study skills that, with time, came more and more easily to him and eventually raised his exam scores and overall grade in every major class he had been behind in prior to retaining me as his tutor.

In 2022, I tutored an 8th-grade student who had just moved from China to the U.S. He and his family were worried he wasn’t academically prepared for his new school and the TOEFL exam required for assessment and private high school admission. Great Tutor for Building Confidence

Ms. Olivia has been a great tutor for my daughter. My daughter was taking an AP language course, and since English is not her strongest subject, she had a hard time keeping up at first. After about five sessions with Ms. Olivia, I could already see that she was feeling more confident. What I liked most was that Ms. Olivia didn’t just help her with the assignments. She also showed her how to study and how to approach the material, which was really helpful. She listened carefully to what my daughter was struggling with and explained things in a way that made them easier to understand. Even in a relatively short time, she helped my daughter feel more comfortable with the class and more confident in English. We really appreciate her help and would definitely recommend her.
