Physics Concepts and Problem Solving That Makes Sense

Over the past 25 years I have been the lead physics teacher in a popular and competitive high school program. My educational background includes an undergraduate Bachelors Degree from UCLA and a Masters Degree from Pepperdine University. In addition to teaching full time I have previously tutored for many years for another organization.

While I have taught a variety of physics courses I have specialized in teaching Advanced Placement Physics. The AP courses taught include: AP Physics C Mechanics, AP Physics C Electricity & Magnetism, and AP Physics 1. I have taught the material in AP Physics 2 in the old version of the course for 20 years with excellent results. I have been fortunate to work with and prepare over 5000 AP Physics students for their AP Exams in one of the most challenging subjects taught in high school.

When I interview students they report that I am able to explain difficult concepts in a tangible manner, and that I share common sense problem solving strategies. Many report that physics has become their favorite course in high school and returning students report significant success in their subsequent college courses. I look forward to helping you.
