Hello. :) I was born in the USSR, lived in Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, and Ukraine. Our family moved frequently, so in Latvia I learned Latvian; in Lithuania, Lithuanian. :) Languages came easy to me. I graduated from St. Petersburg University with Bachelor Degree in Art of Journalism, worked in a newspaper, radio, as editor in publishing firm. Moved to the US in 2002 and started my new life. Here finished Nursing Program and worked as RN in hospitals, Home Health agencies, and hospice. I retired, but my active and creative nature does not let me stop and wants new challenges. :)
As a Russian born and raised and as a journalist by training, I have excellent knowledge of Russian language, and rich vocabulary; I can help people not only learn my native tongue, but also better express themselves. Have a good grasp of Russian culture, literature, history, and customs. Used to work as a nurse in the US, and gained good knowledge of diseases, medications, treatments, personal care products. Love learning new things, meeting new people, being creative. I believe that boredom should not be a part of education. Have good sense of humor.
Now you have a possibility to get to know me. :) I know that I can be a good tutor, as I am able to recognize people needs, goals, and aspirations, respect and follow them. Besides, I have a gift to avoid boredom and make my lessons fruitful and interesting.
