My academic background is paired with real engineering experience, including roles as a Manufacturing Equipment Engineer at Tesla and a Maintenance Engineer at Amazon, which allows me to connect abstract concepts to real world problem solving.
My tutoring style blends structure with adaptability. I like to start with clear example problems and walk students through the reasoning behind each step, but I adjust my approach depending on how the student learns best. I pay close attention to how students explain their thinking, and I'm very good at noticing when someone says they understand something but really doesn't. From there, I ask targeted questions that uncover the confusion and guide them toward clarity. I'm detail oriented, communicative, and encourage students to ask questions freely so they never feel stuck or embarrassed.
I've worked with students one on one, in volunteer settings, and by helping classmates at UCLA, and I've learned that confidence grows fastest when students feel supported and understood.
