Hi! I'm Nova! I'm a first-year Human Biology major on the pre-med track and an active medical scribe at Rady Children's Hospital. One of my long-standing passions has been pulling back the curtain on high-stakes AP exams and social studies curriculum. I graduated high school in June of 2026 with a 4.3 GPA and as my school's valedictorian, during which I took 12 Advanced Placement courses, including AP US History, AP U.S. Government, AP Comparative Government, AP World History, AP Biology, AP Environmental Science, AP Lit & Comp, AP Psychology, AP Human Geography, AP European History, AP Latin Culture, and AP Lang & Comp. I earned a 5 on all exams and was one of ~300 students worldwide to earn a completely flawless score on the AP World History exam. I also served as a Teaching Assistant for AP Human Geography and spent three years tutoring in my high school's social studies department, specializing in American History 1 & 2 until my graduation.
My tutoring philosophy is built on the simple principle that learning must be fun. I try my best to reject robotic memorization and engage in high-energy sessions that break down intimidating material into something more digestible. Whether it be analyzing rubrics for AP Exam FRQs or studying photosynthesis, I do my very best to make learning something to look forward to. As I myself am a busy college student balancing jobs, volunteering, and my own curriculum, I am well-versed in managing time and maximizing study schedules so that a student is working smarter, not harder.
I love connecting with students face to face or online and am always ready for suggestions on how I could improve my methods and work to improve the experience for all involved. I am easy to reach and try my best to always provide quick responses. If you have questionsre any questions about my schedule or specializations. Thank you!
