I hold a Bachelor of Science in Biology with an emphasis in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Arizona, graduating magna cum laude with a 3.9 GPA and Dean's List recognition for all eight semesters. I am currently preparing to begin a Master of Advanced Studies in Clinical Research at UC San Diego this summer. My formal teaching experience comes from my role as a Supplemental Instruction Leader at the University of Arizona's Think Tank, where I designed and delivered weekly small-group and one-on-one sessions in Organic Chemistry for over 100 undergraduate students — the majority of whom were college-aged pre-med and science majors navigating one of the most challenging courses in their degree programs. In that role I adapted my teaching methods to individual learning styles, created original study materials, and used active recall and concept-mapping techniques to make complex material approachable. My subject expertise spans Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Spanish, the last of which I speak fluently as a native-level bilingual speaker. I have tutored in both structured group settings and informal one-on-one contexts throughout college, and I bring genuine patience, strong scientific communication skills, and firsthand knowledge of what it takes to succeed on the pre-med track.
