I am a certified middle school science teacher with over four years of classroom experience helping students build confidence and mastery in science. I hold a Master’s degree in Education and a Bachelor’s degree focused on science, society, and the environment, and I am also credentialed to support gifted learners. In my classroom I have taught environmental science, biology, and general middle school science, working with students ages 11–14. My experience includes designing lesson plans, guiding inquiry-based investigations, and helping students break down complex concepts into ideas that feel manageable and engaging.

My tutoring approach focuses on helping students truly understand the “why” behind scientific concepts rather than memorizing information. I use real-world examples, guided questioning, and step-by-step problem solving to help students build strong foundations in topics such as ecosystems, biology, earth science, and scientific reasoning. Because of my classroom experience, I am very familiar with the types of assignments, tests, and projects students encounter in middle school science, and I often help students with homework, test preparation, study strategies, and science projects.

I work especially well with middle school learners who need patient guidance, structured support, and encouragement to build academic confidence. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, thinking critically, and developing skills that help them succeed both in science and across other subjects. Whether a student needs help catching up, strengthening their understanding, or preparing for an upcoming exam, I aim to make learning clear, engaging, and empowering.

Approved Subjects

Biology

Biology

I am a science teacher with several years of experience helping students understand biology concepts such as cells, genetics, evolution, ecology, and human body systems. My teaching approach focuses on breaking complex biological processes into clear, step-by-step explanations so students can truly understand the material instead of memorizing it. I connect biology concepts to real-world environmental systems, which helps students see how the science works in everyday life. I enjoy helping students improve their confidence in biology, complete assignments, and prepare effectively for quizzes and exams.
CBEST

CBEST

I am a credentialed educator with a Master’s degree in Education and experience supporting students in developing the reading, writing, and mathematical skills assessed on the CBEST exam. My background as a classroom teacher allows me to break down test concepts clearly and help learners build the academic confidence needed to succeed on credentialing exams. I focus on strengthening reading comprehension, analytical writing, and foundational math strategies commonly tested on the CBEST. I also support students with test preparation strategies, practice questions, and structured review plans to help them approach the exam with confidence.
Earth Science

Earth Science

I am a certified middle school science teacher with a strong academic background in environmental and earth sciences. I hold a Bachelor’s degree focused on science, society, and the environment and a Master’s degree in Education, and I regularly teach topics such as climate systems, ecosystems, geology, and human environmental impacts. My teaching approach focuses on helping students understand earth science concepts through real-world examples, visual explanations, and guided problem solving. I support students with homework, test preparation, and strengthening their scientific reasoning so they feel more confident and successful in science courses.
Ecology

Ecology

I have a strong background in environmental science and ecology, along with several years of experience teaching science and helping students master complex biological and environmental concepts. My work focuses on ecosystem dynamics, biodiversity, energy flow, and the interactions between human systems and the natural environment. I help students break down difficult ecological concepts into clear, intuitive explanations that build both understanding and confidence. Whether preparing for exams or strengthening foundational knowledge, I guide students in developing critical thinking and scientific reasoning skills.
Elementary Science

Elementary Science

I am an experienced science teacher who enjoys helping elementary students build curiosity and confidence in science. I support students with foundational topics such as the scientific method, basic physics concepts, earth science, ecosystems, and introductory biology. My approach focuses on making science engaging and easy to understand through clear explanations and real-world examples. I enjoy helping students with homework, preparing for tests, and developing strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Environmental Science

Environmental Science

I am an experienced science educator with a strong academic background in environmental science, including a Bachelor’s degree focused on science, society, and the environment and a Master’s degree in Education. I have taught environmental science and middle school science in the classroom, guiding students through topics such as ecosystems, climate systems, sustainability, and human environmental impacts. My teaching emphasizes real-world connections, helping students understand environmental issues through critical thinking, scientific inquiry, and applied problem solving. I enjoy helping students build both scientific knowledge and environmental awareness while strengthening their confidence in science.
ESL/ESOL

ESL/ESOL

I hold a Master’s degree in Education and have over four years of classroom teaching experience supporting multilingual learners in academic settings. I specialize in helping ESL/ESOL students improve grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and academic writing. I also help students develop the language skills needed for school success, exams, and professional communication.
Fitness

Fitness

I am a science educator and former cheer and dance coach for grades 6–8 at an Arizona middle school, where I guided students in physical conditioning, flexibility, coordination, and performance training. My coaching focused on strength building, endurance, injury prevention, and proper movement technique for young athletes. I combine my background in human biology and health science with practical coaching experience to help students understand how their bodies move and improve their overall fitness safely. I enjoy helping learners build confidence, strength, and sustainable exercise habits.
GIS

GIS

My background in environmental science includes working with geographic information systems (GIS) to analyze spatial patterns, environmental systems, and land use relationships. I have used GIS tools in academic and research contexts to examine topics such as environmental planning, territorial analysis, and human–environment interactions. I help students understand core GIS concepts including spatial data, map interpretation, layers, and geographic analysis. My goal is to support learners in developing both the technical and analytical skills needed to use GIS effectively in environmental science, geography, and related fields.
