Hello, my name is Robert, but you can call me Rob! I graduated with honors from Pima Medical Institute with an Associate of Science in Radiologic Technology. I am the senior technologist and clinical instructor at my current position. I teach students and new hires during clinical rotations and training at my orthopedic clinic. When I was a student, I had instructors who didn't seem to be interested in helping students. Conversely, I had instructors who not only took an interest in helping students learn, they made it fun. I always appreciated the instructors who were interested in teaching so I enjoy doing the same for my students. My students consistently tell me my site is their favorite rotation.

My expertise is not only limited to ambulatory ortho clinics. When I graduated, I took a job as a member of the float pool for the largest hospital and clinical network in San Diego. I have experience in every aspect of diagnostic radiography imaginable. I have an extensive knowledge of and hands-on training in trauma, NICU, ICU, ortho, the OR, and the ER/ED. My outpatient experience has given me an extensive knowledge of lesser known views while my inpatient experience has taught me improvisational skills.

I will be an invaluable resource to help you pass your exams. I enjoy breaking down complicated concepts. Physics, anatomy, exposure factors, grid selection, safety, dose limits, equipment components, and so much more into simple steps. I use a mix of screen-sharing, practice questions from mock ARRT exams, and positioning scenarios so my students can see exactly how the theory applies practically as well as the optimal strategies to help answer test questions. I work with everyone from first semester rad tech students who are struggling with anatomy and physics to recent graduates who need a final push to pass the ARRT exam. Because I still work 6:30 AM–3 PM shifts, I am widely available evenings and weekends, which fits perfectly with most students’ schedules. I will ensure you succeed!
